This safari is ideal for those seeking a compact yet comprehensive adventure, covering some of the most famous parks in Northern Tanzania (Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park). This Tanzania Vacation spans 6 days, with each day offering a unique experience.
ARRIVAL
Upon your Arrival at either, KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT or ARUSHA AIRPORT
- You’ll be Picked from either of the airports.
- Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
DAY 1 / AIRPORT PICKUP TO ARUSHA
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be met by an Ewotu African Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at the nearest Lodge in Arusha Town. There is free Wi-Fi in the café, restaurant and bar, as well as a swimming pool and conference room.
DAY 2 / TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Your Ewotu Camp Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The transit drive is approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire than anywhere else on the planet! The huge and ancient Baobab trees can be seen here. Some of them are said to have lived for more than a thousand years.
Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the Park. After your game drive, you will transit to your campsite inside the park.
DAY 3 / TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK ENROUTE TO KARATU
After your Breakfast, You will depart from Camp with your Lunch Box and have a morning Game drive inside Tarangire National Park till noon where you will enjoy your Packed lunch at the picnic Site.
After Lunch You will depart from Tarangire National Park, and by late-afternoon you will check in a camp outside Manyara national Park and as the Sun Goes Down you will enjoy your Sundowner refreshments as you wait for your Dinner and the overnight Stay at Migombani Camp.
DAY 4 / SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will drive up into the cooler regions of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a chance to stop and see the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You will then transit through Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, entering at the South of the Park.
The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. Whilst it boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest; zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The migration can be found during any given month; you just need to know where to look! Depending on what time of year you come, you may get a chance to witness one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Natural World’.
You will have a picnic lunch and will stay overnight at a campsite in the Serengeti. Depending on the location of the Great Migration, there is flexibility on where you stay.
DAY 5 / SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today after an early breakfast, you will leave the mobile camp and go for a morning game drive in Serengeti. In the early afternoon, you will return to the Camp for hot lunch and refresh abit, in the late afternoon you will head out for another thriller evening Game drive before heading back to the Camp for Dinner and night overstay.
DAY 6 / SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TRANSIT TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After an early breakfast, drive out of the Serengeti and on to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth Wonder of the World, The park is home to the entirety of the Big Five and is particularly a good place to see lions and Cape buffalo all year-round. Packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Later on, you’ll drive to Migombani Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
DAY 7 / LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK/TRANSFER ARUSHA AIRPORT
Early in the morning After breakfast you will check out of the Camp with your prepared Lunch Box and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (A park where you can expect to see the legendary tree-climbing lions and the large-tusked elephants in the acacia woodland) for a Half day game drive Before leaving the Park heading to the Airport to connect your next flight back home. This will mark the end of your Memorable Safari in Tanzania.
